Week 01

Animatic with reference video

I spent my most of summer break take this reference video. It helps my get a more accurate time schedule which will help me a lot in making animation and music. This version’s animatic can be my last animatic.

Because the last version’s environment feels too flat and boring. I try to let them looks more gorgeous by building strong contrast between these two sides, and looks more beautiful through adding more fantasy elements . However, these elements make the environment too noisy. They not fit the story anymore. Therefore I combine the last version and the newest version, redo the 2D layout again.

I paint these layout again, reduce most fantasy elements. I try to keep the environment quiet and sample, but interesting because of these little shinning plants. Following these layout, I will redo the environment through changing the big terrain, rearrange these existing assets.

Week 02
